Default Transmission Issues

So my truck has been having some issues which have been progressively getting worse.

The first of which is it is very hard to get in gear. I cant get it to go into gear unless its close to rev-matched. Its not grinding, just not going in.

Another problem, is, when it is cold, and around 2,000rpm in third gear it makes a very loud whining sound, which goes away once I put the clutch in.

The truck did have the clutch replaced about 10K ago, when it was owned by the PO. I haven't called the shop to see if they did anything else while in there.

Anyone have any ideas? My guesses are slave, throwout bearing, or syncros. Any suggestions on how to figure it out?

I'm assuming its a5-speed manual? Sounds like a throw out bearing.

Yes, it is.

How much would it cost to do the throwout bearing? How difficult? Is it something that should have/could have been done when the clutch was done and might be warrantied? Could/would it damage anything to drive it like this?

If you've never droped a transmission just pay to have it done. Its not easy if you've never done it before

Not really. Each shop will have a different price. Do you have a friend or anyone who could help you do it? And is ur truck a 4x4?

Well, god news. I called the shop that did the work, it is under warranty (it was replaced 6Kmi ago) and they'll replace it and the clutch and slave for free. All I have to do is drive it there (which is now 250 miles away)
