Default Transfer case help

I have a 2003 Ford 150 5.4 liter manual shift 4x4 on the floor automatcTrans. I have a parts truck but the transfer case is electronic

Shift. I know it will not work but my question is can I use the gears and the chain from the electronic one. I know some of the internal parts are different

Sorry but the 4406 and 4407 are different in the gears and chains as well as most internal parts. Bearings look to be the same but other than that, even the gasket kit is different.

Yes, the axle is the same. However, you'll have to read the tag to check the ratios and compare. A really large percentage of them are 3.55's, so the chances are good that they are the same.

I'm not sure what you mean. The other what? They must both be the same ratio or you'll break things.

One tag has 355 and one has 373. I think that is the gear ratio correct.

The front and rear diffs both need to be the same gear ratio.

"I think that is the gear ratio, correct?" is what you meant, right? You were asking a question?

If one of you front diffs is a 3.55 and the other is a 3.73 you would have to swap the front diff AND the rear end from you donor truck. The front and rear have to match each other like White89GT said or you will break things as soon you shift into 4x4.
