Default Tranny slip

Have an 03 super crew with 203,000 on her. Bought it from a ford dealer with 121,000 on it. Recently I have been having an issue of some slipping when pulling away from a stop sign. Only happens when cold, and not all the time. I haven't checked the fluid levels yet. Just wondering what a filter and flush would do?

Do a filter don't flush it and put a transgo shift kit in it.

Transgo is a company and a shift kit helps keep the shifts tight . And take a good load off the tranny.

But anyway, checking the fluid is a good place to start.

Next would be to drop the pan, change the filter and add new fluid. After that If it doesn't get better you're looking at a rebuild. Nothing else you can really do.

Almost positive your just low on tranny fluid, that happened to me when my tranny was low on fluid. Once the fluid heats up and expands itll stop slipping because theres juuuust enough fluid to get by but once the fluid cools off and shrinks down itll start slippin again

You're not going to fix any worn mechanical parts with some mistery fluid. It may temporarily delay the complete failure of an item but consider it a bandaid. Use it if you are trying to sell the vehicle to hide an issue if that's how your ethics are.

Slipping is caused by more probelms than only low fluid. That's like saying take some exlax cause I was constipated once and it cured my stomach ache. Sure, it happens and it fixed it for you, but maybe he has anappendicitis or ulcers.
