Just wondering how everyones trannys act in the cold vc the warmer months? My auto works flawlessly in the warmer months, but in the cold months it takes a bit to warm up. I let it run for about 10 minutes before I take off, and it usually takes about 5-10 miles before it finally locks up in overdrive. How does everyone elses act?

Being as the seals contract, the fluid is thicker, it makes sense, I always drove a 5 speed when I lived in Wyoming, but my dad always let his truck warm up in the winter before he drove it.

I always let mine warm up, but it still takes a few minutes or miles before it locks up. I'm wondering if its time for a filter kit or not.. This is a reman tranny and has about 18k miles on it now...

Wow lol, mine usually takes about 5-8 miles after warming up for 10 minutes or so. I'm gonna do a filter change in the enxt week or two, maybe the filters a lil plugged and the fluid is too thick to push through at first... It's a reman, so maybe it's got some junk in it from being fresh and breaking in...
