Your looking for a broken wire, loose connection in the Vehicle speed sensor circuit. It could be in the steering column or the brake pedal switch at the top of the pedal. It may be the brake master cyl pressure switch or the fusible link wire if you have had that TSB. Look for a bad connection/melting/damaged/on fire wire.

Yea. Drove it for about 20 miles after and didn't throw any codes...just not shifting right

Wouldn't that make the speedo act up? Mine seems to be working fine

It's obviously in the trans if you have no codes now. Maybe it was all a figment of the mechanical snafu. Change the oil and filter & additive . Instal a drain plug while your at it and hope for the best.

Well I just had the tranny rebuilt. It was done by a certified ford tranny tech so I have been assuming it was done correctly. I pulled it and put it back in myself. I flushed the lines and changed the filter/gasket when I put it back in. I have been talking to the tech that did the work and he is bringing it into the shop to hook it up to the comp and everything.

I have always found it best to replace the Torque Convertor when reb to the trans. If pan is ripe with brass and steel chips damage has been done again.
