Default Tranny issues

Trannys been acting up it slipped hard when I toom off from a dead stop it took about a second for it to catch a gear, also I had it in first at a dead stop gave it maybe half throttle and it felt like the clutch was just spinning? I mean the truck still loved but it was far from the torque yu would expect, I have a few options on mind what do you guys think.

truck will be lifted soon and tires so maybe a bit more beef to it

I highly doubt if your truck could talk that it would say "it loved" getting punched in first. It is one of the harder things you can do to your truck.

You have a manual then I presume? Any engine mods? Codes? Maintenance? Miles? Do you always beat on it? How long have you had it?

C'mon man. We can only make guesses with the info you've provided.

I dunno...it's hard to tell "catch a gear" and describing a clutch slipping or spinning say manual to me. If it is auto he needs to learn different terms.

Lol didn't mean to offend anyone it is a automatic but autos have clutchs to. Sorry if my terms aren't up to your standards, please inform my on the way "you" want me to talk on here lol no codes just something I've been feeling recently, I don't beat on my truck a lot just noticed it when I had to get ahead of someone at the lights, I don't floor it in first but it can help you off the line. 255,000 original clicks on the tranny only been flushed once as far as I know., I don't feel it always didn't feel it today at all. Felt it slip once in drive and again jn first felt like there was barely any torque, I've got a plan just looking for some input or advice from people that know what there doing and/or have had this happen to them. Good day!

If the tranny has been flushed once and the pan's never been dropped, then i'm betting that's your issue. That's still the original filter in it then, plus I'm betting a lot of sludge is piling up in the bottom of the pan. If that is the case, you need to get that replaced ASAP.

So over 150.000 miles? Try a filter fluid change first
