Default Traction Bars

I like to get out in the back country and that takes a lot of forest road driving. When I hit the patches of small groove/bumps from the runoff my rear end bounces and slides around crazy. Will Traction/Ladder bars help with that?

Please add any other tips/advice for back country mountainous driving

It's a 98 f-150XLT with the 4.6 3door (<- how do I get that to pop up automatically???)

No. The only thing that I know that will help is weight. The bed really weighs only weighs a few hundred pounds plus the tail gate, so that''s not a lot. I used to use a 1/4 in flat steel plate, weighs about 500 lbs and lays flat in the bed. That will help cure your problem.

That might be what I end up doing. I'm asking cause my buddy got a 2013RAM1500 and it handled the same bumps that have me hopping around smooth. Maybe it's the coil suspension? Not trying to go broke worrying about a couple bumps but if I can feel safer handling those swithcbacks ill drop a couple bucks.

The suspension in a 20 year old truck cannot be compared to a 4 year old truck.

as for the "pop up" question, do you mean a signature (like in mine)?

^^^ This, unfortunately.

Living in CO, and driving on rutted and washboard-ed roads, mine skates around a bit unloaded, too.

And blupher's also right that if you want your truck info (or anything else, really) to show up with your posts, you need to create a signature in your profile. Go to the "User CP" link in the menu bar, and then click "Edit Signature" on the left side.

Just be aware that your signature doesn't appear when you post from a mobile device unless you're in "full" mode. (It *STILL* ticks me off we don't have that option.)
