towing weight

I recently purchased a pop up camper that states it weighs 2700 lbs.
I have a 2002 F150 supercab manual trans 4.2 v6 ratio 3.55. Can my truck saftley tow it??

Easily. 2700 lbs is a fairly light tow load. You could probably even tow that with a Chebee.

The manual says 3200 max traler..my truck weighs 6k. It says total weight including truck and camper cant exceed 7200lbs???

A quick search found a chart that states your truck combination has a max trailer weight of 3300 lbs.

7200 is truck and "slide in" style camper. Not tow weight.

Thanks for the insight... I guess I still have a couple hundred pounds to spare. I just wanted to get a second opinion before buying the tow package

Can anyone let me know their expeiriance towing with the 4.2 v6 manual tranny? Total weight?
