eh.. i tried an edge evolution but it didnt really do anything for mpg it helped for towing stuff and shift points but wasnt worth 400 bucks so i sent it back. driving with out towing if you have a steady foot will gain you a few mpg also.

Well that is common sense, I can get 18 on the hwy not towing. But I'm looking for city mpg up from 12 mpg. That and better than 8-9 mpg towing

u might want to put an air intake on it to help with your mpgs

In regards with OD on while towing. I pull a pop-up camper and was wondering if it is best to have OD off while in town? I have 03 F-150 5.4.

Also, if u just turn the OD off before goin up hills isn't that the same as having OD on and it having to downshift?

It would be the same as runing it I pulled a john deer b with my dads 97 f150 on a 5th wheel traler and and as soon as I hooked up the trailer I turned the overdrive off

Thats a big trailer... I'd be worried if you didnt turn OD off. Through town I would have OD off because you are stopping and going. Less shifting=better for trans.

ya it was a big tralor and the pickup that i was towing it with did not have tralor breaks or lights so im glad that i didnt have to haul it far and i took it slow
