Default Torsion Bars

Hey guys iv searched around about cranking my torsion bars but I still have a few unanswered questions. Do you have to jack up the front end to crank them? How do I know when to much is too much and unsafe? And last I go offroading quiet often and by cranking them am I putting more suspension components at risk to break a lot fast? Thank in advance.by the way it's a 99 f-150 Scab 5.4

Jacking up the truck helps remove some the stress on the torsion bars making it easier. Also 24.5" measured from the center of the wheel arch to the center off the hub is about as far as you want to take it.

It is easier if it's in the air. As long as you don't go till there's no thread left you'll be alright.

Had no issues with mine. Just don't go extreme and you'll be fine

I don't ever go extreme just the usual hill climbs mud holes and the occasional jump but wheels never leave the ground

It's a hump on the dirt road I take sometimes and it goes up and down. If you hit it going like 45 it makes your truck stretch the shocks but your tires never leave the ground so technically it's not jumping but it flexes your truck

Ya exactly just enough to give you that feeling. But that's like the worst thing I do when offroading really. I'm excited to crank them tommorow. Where is the bolt that I need to turn and is it to the right correct?
