Default tool box as a gun case?

i was wondering if anybody knew the legalities of keeping a gun in a tool box without it being in a case. i would think it would count especially if it was locked.

I don't know were you live but here in WI we aren't required to case guns when in a vehicle. They just need to be unloaded.

If you get your permit to carry, then you can keep an uncased gun in the cab as long as everyone in the truck has a permit, so when its just you, you're safe.

Are you insane? Do not come here for legal Advice. Find "a state local" forum, pick their brains for Links to the actual laws. Also don't forget to look up you AG's opinon on questionable matters.

Simmer down. He didn't attack you, he offered advice. Sage advice I might add.

That might be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Why would you go to a national truck forum for advice on local gun laws? That would be like me asking on a computer forum what grade of steel to use for a trailer. Someone might know, but chances are they won't, and any answer I get wouldn't be nearly as good as one from a forum which specializes in it.

As for "I'll go wherever I damn well please for whatever advice I want. Got it?" You sound like a pissy little 13 year old. Grow up, you're acting like a moron.

^^^^ LMFAO! Why would you keep a gun in your tool box even if it is locked?
