Default Tires..

I'm buying tires within the next month or so, and I want to get a good tire that looks meaty. Im thinking BF Goodrich ATs 285s. my question is whats the middle number (ex: 285/70/17) my current tires are 265/75/17

285 is width, 70 is sidewall height, 17 is rim size.

they are pricey, but they are good tires. check out the Cooper STT too. Nice in snow, I hear.

Check out Nitto, love them. Little less pricey than BFG's and they last a long time. Good grip too. My Terra Grapplers are awesome in the snow.

i have general grabber a/t 2's i believe, they arent the meatiest but they sure as hell dont look like street tires. i have 33x12.5s and they grip great wet or dry and never get me stuck in mud (so far )
