Default Tire help

Can I safely use a 285/70/17 on my 2001 F150 XLT Flareside.........?

I'd like a little more beef, but not sure if that tire will fit my stock wheel.

Help on this subject would be great.

thanks,
Richard...................

I run a 285/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial on my 17" American Racing Teron rims. I don't have a suspension or body lift. You should be able to fit the tires on your stock no problem. The only problem you might have is you might have some tire rub when you go to turn your steering wheel and the tire will rub a little on your front bumper fairings.
