Default tinting tail lights

Im looking at tinting the tail lights on my 03 scab. What have all you guys used to do this? I know theres that nightshade stuff but im still iffy about it.

Also how much trouble have you gotten with the cops? Because the cops up here in my area of wisconsin are real ******. Lol

Use Lamin-x. It is more expensive than nightshade, but it will look WAY better, and also can be taken off if needed.

Cops everywhere in wisconsin are ******.. I have two speeding tickets in my life, both in WI, for 75 in a 70, and 76 in a 70.

I think VHT looks fine when its done right. I have my third brake light done and soon to be fogs and tail lights. I had my tails tinted on my Ranger and never got pulled over for it. Where in Wisconsin you guys from? Im just south of Madison

I used 3 light coats of niteshades and then 2 or 3 coats of clear on the tail lights for both my trucks. They came out perfect. The trick I learned is to hold the can pretty far away and just kind of mist the lights, rather then blast them like you're spray painting something. I didn't want black tail lights, mine just look dark red. It almost looks like they are factory and I've never had a problem with the cops or anyone else. If you use clear coat, you can polish the lenses to a mirror finish, but I liked the matte look.
