Window tinting isn't too hard I did mine on my truck and have helped a few friends do theirs. The biggest thing that I have noticed is to make sure you clean the window really good before you put the tint on and use a lot of windex/ soapy water or whatever you decide to use. Also just go out and buy a little rubber squeegee for 5 dollars it helps a lot when making sure to get all the bubbles out. Other then that just take your time and have someone help you it's nice to have a second set of hands when cutting it and everything else. I have used the gilla brand tint that I bought from a advance auto and it seems to be fine. The thing I think about too is tint is only like $10 a roll so you have quite a few times to screw up before you're paying for someone to do it!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I think that sounds like a plan before I go spending money haha also, I heard its better to take the windows out and do them and I've even heard people using ovens to cure it? Does that sound like it would work? I also have a prob where the previous owner only tinted the front windows so I have to guess the matching percentage...one last thing did you get a lot of scratches in your tint when you did it?

I've heard of people taking them out but I did mine right in the door I didn't even take off the door panel. I have never heard of anyone using a oven to cure it, I've done it to 3 of my friends cars and trucks the same way I did mine and they have all come out fine. I used a credit card on the first one which made a few little scratch marks you can see in the right light but the squeegee doesn't leave much behind. It shouldn't be too bad to find out what percent tint you have already but different brand tint might have a different color too it. The normal 35% you can still see in pretty easy, 20% (what I have) if you have someone sit in your truck with the doors closed you can see the outline of the person and 5% is almost black

Gilla tint is complete garbage drive around imfor one summer and it turns purple. I work at a glass shop and the tint on my truck is real proffesional standard limo tint can't remember the actual name but its gaurantees no fade and no colour change for 10 or your money back and u can order it in any size roll u want and pre cut for some vehicles. So go to a glass shop and atleast ask before u use gilla

Get ya a precut kit from northern tint. Com. Very nice quality, easy to work wit and already cut for you! The rear windows are easy to do if you remove them! And the rest are pretty simple. It's all prep work make sure you clean the widows well!
