Default Time for a new battery

Truck aint got the amperage to turn over the starter when hot. Barely does it cold and rested. Probably won't do it in the winter. Says I have 12v, but if a cell died, it still would.

Recommend a new battery. Optima yellow tops are out, red tops not out yet.

Any others to go with?
This truck doesn't get started but once or twice a month, so the battery has to be able to SIT and not drain too much.

If it sits that often I'd spend the extra money to install a battery quick disconnect on the negative terminal just to be sure nothing is pulling any power while it's sitting

Thanks... and back to useful chatter...
I'm thinking a red top with a solar tickle charger. Would still come in under the cost of a yellow top (180 before shipping, can get the redtop here for 130)
