Besides matching them as closely with the old ones as possible? No. You'll still probably need to get it realigned.

Measure total length, center to center of the joints. Then measure the end of the sleeve to center of the joint on each side.

It will be close but get alignment checked after.

He meant close so we can get to the alignment shop without bald ( er ) tires.

To add to this I use 1" masking tape to "mark" the tie rods at the sleeve before removal, line up the ball joints, transfer the tape "mark" to new end (new tape mark) reattach to sleeve, reinstall, go get alignment. (About 1 to 2 hours work at home [measuring, marking, dropping, disassemble, transferring marks, reassembly, installation, and remeasuring] taking my time, then 3 to 4 hours at alignment shop in line.)

I like to count the number of turns to get the rod end off, then spin the new one on the same number of turns.

Until you get one that is longer by several threads. I got an aftermarket one time that was 1/4" longer than the OEM I removed.

I did mine this year and tried to keep an alignment. In the end I had to get it realigned.

Yeah we are going to get the alignment done the next day. We want to get it close so we don't ruin the tires going to the alignment shop ( like 25 miles from the garage )

Lol. That wouldn't ruin the ties.
