Default threw p0174 code, what now?

I had my check engine on for about a week or 2, it involves the code P0174 which is system too lean. Just curious could that come up if maybe i put some bad gas in?

I am not idling bad, the truck is running fine, the only thing i need to do the truck is change the oil

I do remember like a few days before for the CE light came on, i filled up at a gas station that i usually dont get gas but was near empty and it was the closest place?

Mine does the same thing every now and then but usually only on really cool mornings or colder weather. I've got 800 bucks in exhaust work done, k&n and airsick tbs though I figured it has something to do with all the air going by my 02 sensors since I've got 2 high flow cats instead of stock 4 or my down stream sensors going out

^This

Could be a faulty O2 sensor, which is pretty easy to replace.

Be gentle cleaning the MAF sensor because that filament is fragile.

Matt21, what year model do you have? There was a TSB covering this code pertaining to certain year models.

my truck is a 97 XLT. I didnt clean anything yet, but I did noticed my MAF was barely hanging on to the Air cleaner tube, so i pushed it back in.

Do you think maybe that might of been the problem?

That can for sure throw a code. If it doesn't clear on its own go get it cleared at a shop and monitor the truck.
