Rough way of life or a method of making a bit of $ while not being bored to death watching TV at home?
After my father in law retired from construction work, he would go around jobsites to get waste stuff to fix and sell. He hated watching TV. Said that any cash didn't affect his SS money. In other words , was just fighting boredom.
He would also build stuff and sell on etsy. 80 to 90 years old and making $ selling on etsy. Didn't need the money, just needed to keep brain running.
Digging through garbage out on the street of home owners? I'll pass. Businesses are much different. I don't want to be sifting through shiddy diapers, tampons, grandma's fruit cake, and Lord knows what else just to make a couple dollars.
For you 2wd folks, what shocks are you using all around? Im not looking to do anything fancy, just lowering the rear 2" with a shackle, not looking to lift or go off roading. All 4 are shot, not looking to break the bank but also don't want to get crap shocks that will give me a crappy ride and fail quick.
Yeah,
there is a big difference between picking through household trash and making kitschy clocks and tables out of scrap pallet wood.
I took "crap hanging out the truck of her car" differently. I took it as the people who watch freecycle, facebook market, craigslist for free crap to clean up and sell.
Maybe it's me that's off... I was figuring on Phil seeing her from home.
Got a tech from Lumens here at work right now that is here from AZ to help with UT's workload for a month. He says it's much nicer here, temp-wise. Guess I won't be too "put out" over the heat lately.
My back has been hurting like hell for a week, so getting hunched over, and crawling around to do the A/C compressor on the F150 has not sounded fun. The high temps also make it not-so-attractive.
I've had the opportunity to get this old Craftsman where I want it now - I'll just show the "completed" but unfilled box. Last night I lubed the drawer glides and got all of the liners cut out for the drawers.
I'm going to try and get 'er into service in the next day or two. All I see on the 10 day weather predictions are ball sweat. So we'll see.

Mostly furniture and kids toys that are sitting next to the cans.

Yep, she cleans it up and resells it.
Stays pretty busy at it too.
