I would expect a slipping code but possibly there are none for that trans.
Checked the wiring and that looked fine. Doesn't do it any other time.
Only happens very rarely and there is no noticeable drivability issue.
Look at the sensor reading in Forscan and it seems perfect whenever it is being watched.
Is there anything other than a speed sensor or gear that would cause that code to set?

Trans is soon up for it's 50K mile fluid / filter change so I'll look at the speed sensor gear then.
Trans has 250K miles on latest rebuild, maybe it's time for another.

Aslo, Anyone have a good aftermarket remote start / alarm they would recommend that is wired in, not OBD plug in?
Check this feller in the rear diff first... I'd pull it and clean it.

Don't say that! Those tears may turn to ice and only make it worse!

It's 32 in Tooele, and a 70% chance of snow. I sure am ready for the sun.

I moved the Explorer so I could work on it today.... I guess not. There's a touch of snow on it already.

Lower ball joints, UCA's, end links, timing chain tensioners (it's a 4.0 SOHC - so doing the external tensioners), TCC Solenoid, then fluid exchanges.

50 and sunny.

Back up gen didn't like the power going off as if some joker was playing with the switch. It was tripping...

Surge protected for the most part now. Didn't loose anything this time.

All this occurred right after the storm.
