I added impeller sweeps to the snow thrower I had in Ohio. It made a big difference, especially with the springtime slushy stuff. (Sounded cool, too!) You'll be glad you did it.
Big difference throwing, freaked the morning doves out on the power lines above. Rooster tail got to close for comfort apparently. Seen them up there, they scattered before I could reposition the freeze ray.

The tail gates can hinge at the top as well. Seen a guy gravel his driveway with one. Set the chains on the tail gate and layout a perfect 2-4"thick pad of stone.
