It's 110... takes a normal E26/E27 bulb. It's a photocell activated light.... sensor on the pole itself. I've replaced it for them before. It came with the house.... so it's 38 years old.

Apparently this is happening a couple streets over from me right now. Better hurry... the weather is about to go sour..

I'm on the ground. Cleaned a foot of snow off of my vehicle, and I'm on my way to stay with a friend in Denver tonight. Duncan gets one more night with the pet sitter, and I hope the roads are better the rest of the way home late morning tomorrow. Had somebody plow the driveway today, and they will probably have to do it again tomorrow. Guess I'll find out what I run into when I get there. Freak storm. It wasn't supposed to snow at all.

Mine is a 1951 "returning Korean Vets" tract home... Tube and post wiring. Same year as I.

Sweet **** Bill. You're not still utilizing that **** and tube, are you?

Changed the oil and trans fluid in the 11 Escape. After changing this ATF a few times, I finally decided to cut a notch out of the panel under the car for the trans plug. It takes longer to remove and install that sum8itc4'n panel than it does to change the fluid. Milwaukee tin snips work great on that job.

< Works fine, lasts a long time. I upgrade as I go. Funny as I have totally rewired homes during remodels as a general contractor.

< Was wondering the other day, too lazy to find my manual, the schedule for changing ATF in an '01 150...?

Pointed out a failing brake light on a sano F250.today, waiting inline for my Jack in Box breakfast burrito, a staple for me. He said thanks. White rimmed sunglasses, seemed unusual. Got to the window, he had paid my ~$12 and the Mgr repeated his thanks and gave me extra taco sauce. I only had a fiver and said help the next guy.

Noone seems to tell folks, and who bugs anyone to check the brake lights weekly, even monthly. I do so at many a stop light.

30K is what is recommended, Bill. After seeing what they can look like inside, I'm a 20-25,000 mile guy. I do both my Wife's, and my daily driver once a year. We do about 20K a year on them.

I had a viewer that watched my intake manifold video contact me.... he wants me to make one for him that is identical to mine. His was in a lot worse shape than mine was. I got all of the vacuum stuff done, then did some paint work on it. I'm not caring for his intake at all, lol. It had "CRAP" written on it in yellow paint. I'm guessing it came out of a scrap heap.

For comparison:

Thanks White. And I thought 30k on the 2018 Civic was due to the very busy transmission.

Do you do the usual half-drain or somehow drain the convertor, which holds about half, as I understand it. I've also heard, I can rotate the convertor until luck lines up a drain on it. (4W70, '01 in my case )

Interesting battery price exercise today for the Civic.
O'Reilly's ......... $ 199-239, 3 yrs.
Honda Dealer .. $189, 3yr + (100-36) 64 mo prorated
Home Depot .... $139, 3yr

Home Depot Excites seem to die a mere FEW months after 36. Our 2018 had the Honda original and it's just now, 5-6 yrs later, getting poor. That slow dying made the extra $50 worth it to me, and still middle of the price range. I really expected it to be outrageous. They wan $120 for an oil chg, though once I asked if they had Vet or Old man discounts and got it for $85. (Wife wants receipts while it is in warrantee, and truth, I hate working on such low cars.)

EDIT; The 2018 had a Super Start Battery in it,.so it and the original each lasted only 3 years. Being small, this is not a great car for long trips, nice as the leather upgrade is, so it probably gets started a lost for short city trips.

I let it sit for a long time and naturally let the converter drain.... usually get 6 quarts out of the whole change (roughly half of the total fluid). I've never even looked for a converter plug on my truck.

From my understanding, not all convertors have the plug. Another cost cutting measure,.I suppose, sometimes very roughly around Y2K. Thx for the info/response.
