Do wolverines bother people much? How does one go about ridding themselves of a wolverine? Shotgun? Trap?

(we have no wolverines in Utah - except the zoo)

EDIT: actually - the first one was found here about 2 months ago....

We have a few Wolverines here in AK also. The damn bears go out of their way to stay away from them. They are viscious and fearless lil chits. Have you ever seen their claws?

Wow... I stand corrected. There was a wolverine killed by a car here in 1979 (I was 4 years old). So... yeah... I'm dumb. Plus someone spotted one on a trail camera in the high Uintahs in 2014.

It's no bother, one of the buildings out back has an addition without a rat wall. So it's borrowed under that. Plus there's a large brush pile I haven't sparked up yet, I think that might be it's second home, maybe that was what the argument was about last night ?
Then a canal that feeds into the lake. So it's got to be a great location for it, I kind of like it lol. The birds around here freaked me out a bit at first, I don't care for the geese much, they were coming up to the house and making a big mess, I put it end to that promptly! Swans in the canal, seen them for the first time this year. There's a couple 3' tall birds, that introduced themselves while I snoozing in the hammock. I don't know what they are, but there's just two of them and they freaked me out the most. I woke up to BigBird and froze lol. Left the Red Ryder at the house so I was defenseless. It was kind of cool though lol.

LOL... sounds like fun. We don't get a bunch of wildlife at my place. We do get an occasional skunk or deer. My parents had a Cougar walking through their neighborhood a couple years ago. That was kind of freaky.

My neighbor had some deer come down, and were eating apples and peaches of his trees the other day. I thought I had some pics, but I remembered I took them with the Wife's POS iphone. Probably look like I took the pics with a calculator.

When I was a kid, my Grandpa had geese. Those little bastards are mean. I hate geese.

I think I even have stalker chick, not 100%, but it went up to 80% just a moment ago. She walks 2 little dogs to make herself look inconspicuous. Thrilling ehh, - you know me and little dogs, that's two 2 hits against right there. However, she doesn't look bad from 75 yards out, need a better look I expect.. I could of used some bonics! Think I'll head up town later and hit the new Mans toy store, been looking for a reason lol.

Anyway, no deer yet and just the wild geese so far. They do the mating ritual, have their little geeselings, feed and crap for months then disappear, probably after the little ones get their wings. Yea, as a kid our neighbors had a goose pen, they couldn't fly. If one of us lft the gate open they would visit, THAT mess was surely for the birds....remember that vividly. They were mean and didn't back down, I have the same Red Ryder today as I did back then for geese patrol, back to the tootsie roll factory they went.

Yea, all of pics this year are still on my phone lol. I'll start getting better pics lol. Pics of everything and begin some sort of back 40 collection or something.

Stalker chick checkin' out Brewster, eh? Does she look good from far, but far from good? LOL... mans toy store? I'll just leave that alone, hahahaha.

My Grandpa had horses when I was a youngster. He had a pond as well that the geese just kinda made a home out of. My Grandpa also owned an old school Rexall Pharmacy with a snack bar, so he would have the staff save lettuce, tomatoes, and other trash that geese eat. Well... we'd open up that smelly bag of surprise to feed them, and they'd attack us. I too started pegging them with a BB gun (I have no idea the model) and it was not too damaging to them. Probably pissed them off even more. Little bastards.

Your Grandpas place was similar to my parents, just 1 horse 'Whisky' that my sis had, I was all about dirt bikes and such. Had a pond but it was covered in Algae, solid sometimes. Not too good for swimming, Great fertilizer for the garden and the 2 labs loved the turtles..that became pretty gross at times. Great snake hunting pond.

So why are we talking about this stuff ? Here ? Doh!
