We got a dusting of snow last night.
But sunny today and hitting 35° so hoping it will all melt.
Been a ruff weekend over here. Mika is in the animal hospital in critical care.
Had to take her in Saturday morning to the emergency vet.
Her kidneys were failing.
We chose to spend a small fortune to see if she can pull through.
We were transferred to an animal hospital about an hour away from the house.
So far, she has been responding to the medication, just not sure if too much damage was done to the kidneys and if they will recover.
Tonight, will be the 3 days and we find out if her kidneys are recovering and we continue treatment or if we need to put her to sleep.
↑ Saturday morning when we decided she was not improving.
↑ Saturday night at the animal hospital once they got the IV hooked up.
↑ Sunday, she was being a good girl and got the cone off and went for a walk.
↑ Last night resting before bedtime.
I'm waiting for an update today and am probably going down to make a decision.
I always thought people were nuts for the amount of money they'd spend on their pets when something like this happens until I came home one day to find our dog, Rosco, lying at the edge of the woods refusing to come down for dinner. Rushed to the emergency vet, was told he had gastric torsion, and that an expensive (can't recall now if it was $1200 or $2100) surgery was needed to save him, and *now.* Hesitated a few seconds only because he was 12 years old, but almost instantly said "do it," and had 3+ years more with him.
Hoping yours has a good outcome.

It may be an insult to dogs to call this a dawg, but...quote
In the video, a Cybertruck, laden with a single Christmas tree, spins its wheels on a snowy slope as a Ford truck slowly wrenches the futuristic car uphill. Tesla has been advertising the new vehicle as “durable and rugged enough to go anywhere,” and “built for any planet."
Speaking of pieces, I've gone down another rabbit hole on this channel. This $4!t is hard to watch, but I think everyone needs to know just how horrific some people can be. I can't begin to imagine how this becomes right in anyone's mind. This channel is loaded with these child predators. Listening to these guys justify their actions is gut wrenching, especially being the Dad of 3 girls.
