Dang White, your kicking butt on that basement. Yea, I would farm the mudd and paint (painting the worst for me) if I wouldn't feel so damn guilty. Or perhaps it's the dissatisfaction of having someone else working on my stuff. A little bit of both I expect lol.

I can knock the paint out pretty quick with my HVLP.
The carpet came in at just over 1400 dollars for 600 square feet. So roughly 2.34 a square foot. Not too bad for upgraded pad, and Shaw carpet that is usually 5 bucks a square foot. They knocked a little more off too because the normal price includes carpet removal, and since the floor is bare, they gave us a discount.
I gotta spread this out a ways though... and it pretty much forces me into getting a mudder, LOL.
My Dad asked me last night if I want his table saw and his band saw. I don't know where I'll put them, but I guess I got me some new toys. LOL.

Btw, you'll like those Percy gaskets. I purchased SS locking header bolts (Mr Gasket I believe)which came loose within the first 50 miles. All were finger tight by the time I got to them, - no gasket blow outs, you could here a faint leak tho. Torqued them back down a second time and that seemed to the trick. Actually, not sure , I haven't heard the 98 run in quite awhile lol.
The by-law with header bolts is a re-torque ever heat cycle for the first three. Third heat cycle is just a precaution. They usually hold after the first two. In case you not aware.
But yea, I know I did right by using those gaskets.
Almost forgot, headers short and long get torqued from the center out...that's impoatent.

Got a few pics of more of it before the mud. Can't wait to put this thing to bed. Also, took a pic of the networking wall I've started. Still got RJ45 connectors and all that jazz, then I'll clean it up better.
Now an XLT in Colorado

The Wife already said she's in agreement that we need to move all of the damn bikes, lawn mower, snow blowers, etc. outta my shop and into an actual shed. I need to start looking for one.

Cool networking wall. Where's the switch, looks like its at the bottom. So no 5E, your going all 6 ?
Trimming out that 6 panel might be a little tricky, you going to go with L molding around that one ?
You going fancy in the family room ? Any knotty pine, stone, board and batten half wall, bead board, FP maybe ?.
BTW- Can that HVLP shoot textured, is there a tip for that ?

The top two Cisco boxes are both switches. The one on the right is 16 port POE, and left is an 8 port non-POE - both are unmanaged. The box on the bottom is my controller for my access points. You can see one of the access points sitting above my sprinkler controller. This is the software running off of the controller (TP-Link Omada).
Yeah, trimming the doors will be a PITA.... but the guy I had come look at doing tape and mud said he can make the sheet rock flat across there if I need him to. I think he called it "flat taping" it. He offered to texture the walls, but I am only having him texture the ceiling.
As far as your question about spraying texture with the HVLP... I assume you mean will it paint onto pre-textured walls? Yes, I sprayed the walls that I textured at my old house. Or did you mean will it make the paint textured - similar to the bumps you get from a roller?

BTW Brew, thanks for the info on the Percy's. I've heard a lot of god things about them.... and I am sure yours also said that they are reusable on the package? The copper gaskets were pretty robust, and also claim to be reusable, but they didn't line up very well on the holes. I am sure that @akdoggie has run into that before, where SBF gaskets don't line up very well.
I've used Fel-Pro's for most of my headers, and I've also been able to just re-tighten and they seal back up. I used the POS BBK gaskets on the headers I've got and they are pure junk. I think @OhioLariat has had a bad experience with BBK gaskets too.

Huh, yea , those are some man sized switch boxes. I guess they look big due to the over and under ports. I use a single row 8 port (GS108) and yours dwarf that thing. They don't incorporate a fan do they haha? Looks like a miniature Tony Stark set up lol. It's going to be interesting seeing this come together.
Yea, I referring to a texture sprayer, one that spits it out lol. Was curious if that Wagner would spray that thick stuff through their gun. I've seen it done before with a a little turbine set-up.
No problem, I used pacesetters cheap silicon header gaskets with my first header install. Have nothing bad to say about those cheap gaskets, they never leaked and outlasted the headers lol. Haven't had a header gasket failure yet. The gaskets that fail with headers are factory gaskets or like. You definitely must use header gaskets with headers, Torque from the center out and do so again after the first heat cycle, like you mentioned. Yea the failures I've seen on line in the past was when folks attempted to use Fords triple gaskets with headers. Or anything other than header gaskets.
I've heard good and bad about coppers.
