ok so im gonna change my coolant and flush my radiator before it starts getting too hot i just passed the 150k mark and im not sure when the thermostat was last changed as im the 2nd owner.

i just want to do a little preventative maitinence and change it out, is it pretty straight forward? drain the coolant remove the hose and unbolt it or are there any special steps involved?

any recommendations on what brand to go with?

Brand isn't gona really matter just dont pull top hose of to change thermostat till all antifreeze is drained out. It will send a ton of antifreeze down into spark plugs. Been there
