is there a difference in coil packs?
I've had good luck with an eBay vendor named uNeeksupply. You can get a set of 8 for the price of one at the dealer. Now I keep plenty of spares on hand, because it will happen again.
Does your truck have coil on plug or coil packs? Coil on plug (COP) ignition has a coil for each of your eight spark plugs. If you have coil packs, there will be two "packs" located at the front of your engine, one on either bank. With coil packs, there are eight spark plug wires that run from the coil packs to the spark plugs. To make it easier: Does your engine have spark plug wires?
EDIT: I noticed your truck is an '02 model. You should have COP. From what I've read, it is BEST to stick with OEM, but you can buy aftermarket sets of eight on Ebay for a decent price and they come with a one year warranty. I think what it really comes down to is what can you afford? Aftermarket is generally cheaper, and some refurbished aftermarket parts can exceed OEM quality. Look at RockAuto's website; compared to a dealership, they generally have good prices on Motorcraft parts.
