I just got 1999 f150 theft light is on any ideas how to fix it on my own please help

Insert the key in the ignition and turn it to on. Do not start the engine. Wait until the theft light goes out. Turn the key to off, remove the key. Insert the key and start the engine normally.

If that doesn't work i know some people here have disabled their alarm permanently by grounding a wire. (i think it was the purple wire in driver's side door? you'd have to double check that).

I didn't work with the key I couldn't find no purple wire after I removed the panel... The key hole it's broken so any other help will be great thank you

did you search for disabling your alarm in google? As I said, I'm not sure it was a purple wire but i know it is possible by permanently grounding a specific wire.
