Would like to test my crankshaft position sensor. wondered if anyone can tell me what #s to look for in ohms with engine off. Or is there a better way to test it. Other searches haven't helped me.
Been dealing with a crank but no start. I have fuel coming out of line right before fuel filter (disconnected)when cranked over, but no fuel coming OUT of filter with uphill line disconnected (when cranked over). Thanks

This is what I'm getting.
Ac volts are between 1.2 &1.5 while cranking.
Ohms are between .9&1.5 Cranking
Ohms are at .595 with engine off.
Thanks all

How awesome is that. Thanks bro now you wouldn't have that same procedure for the crankshaft position sensor would you, that's where I think my real problem might be laying.
Thanks anyway though

I should also state that the last code my truck threw was a 1309. Something about misfire detection code

Heres the CKP stuff.

your 1309 code has some pretty extensive testing procedures because its a general misfire code for:
Ignition System
Fuel Injectors
Fuel Pressure
Vacuum System
Evaporative Emission System
Fuel Vapor Storage Canister
EVAP Canister Purge Valve
Base Engine
Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
Powertrain Control Module

i have all the info for this stuff its just way to extensive to post on here

When I jump a wire from battery to fuel pump shouldn't I be able to hear the pump run? All I get is a little trickle of spark when I make contact with the jumper wire. I get the same results with key on and off. thank you
