yeah my tailgate has no handle or emblems just couldnt remember if had holes

 

ok so i got a tailgate off a 04 f150 for $30 it fits it just looks like the left side tailgate mount has been reversed the flat square pin is on the bed of a 04. I'm going to hunt the junk yard tomorrow see if i can just find the piece for the bed to swap onto mine if not i will be doing some grinding to make it work with my bed. not sure if anyone has done this yet any info would help????

 

Wont match the shape of the bed at all. Pics when you find out that it wont look right.

 

That's great news that they swap out with so many years.
So according to your post I should be all set to put an 2005 F-350 tailgate (and taillights if they swap too) on my 2002 F-150 7700?
Getting them off Craigslist for $100 o.b.o ( but that price is so good, I offered the guy $140 if he would deliver them from about 35 minutes away)
My truck is not on the road yet.

Question :will a 2008 F250 super duty tailgate fit on a 2004 FX4 styleside F150. I used mine for snowmobile all winter and it is pretty bent now. The 2008 is a new unused tailgate at a decent price but i'd like to be certain it fits.

 

Can anybody help me out this guy has an F-150 tailgate 2014 and out of all of the help to direct people with interchangeable tailgate it's always just a couple of Point made for specific switches and I'm just wondering does anybody have a link to a full list of Ford interchangeable tailgates or can anybody just tell me a definite and then linked me to something to prove that or whatever because I'm having a little bit of a tough time here trying to figure out what will fit a 98 and I understand that F250 tailgate will work as well so I just am looking for basically the years that will fit the 98 and it's not a style side or anything like that it's just an Excel standard six and a half foot bed...
