Default tailgate handle question

Ok, on my tailgate, just the handle part broke off, but if I grab the part that comes out, I can still open it. Its a royal pain. The lock still works, so my question is, can I just replace the handle or do I have to replace the whole thing? The idiot before me must have messed with it before since the panel on the inside is all held together by drywall screws... *facepalm*

Does anybody have a how to to do this, either way, replace just the handle, or swap the whole thing but still keep my lock?

Yeah, best choice would be the parts store then.
