Well got off work last night hit remote start. no running lights in the rear brake and turn signal work fine no running light. its an 03 f150 fx4. Checked fuses goin to look at bulbs tonight what else can i look at?

 

The light switch itself is probably the culprit

 

All front lights work fine coners and all

 

I would say the switch it runs them all find one on ebay because your going to pay over 100 at a ford garage I got one on ebay for 15.00

 

havent found one under $75 i have a question mine has the automatic headlights and fog light options my friend has one with out the automatic headlight spot could i use that i want to make sure thats my problem before i drop $70

 

Check all the wires above the brake pedal... Sometimes they break off the harness

 

Should be able to check for power to the rear under the air box. I have seen problems here, harness rubs on bottom of air box. Had a guy replace fuel pump numerous times because his aftermarket CAI filter was bouncing on the harnesses shorting the fuel pump circuit, blowing the fuse. It was a chrome trimmed filter. Good place to look and diagnose without being on your back.
If you have power under the air box then check at the connector above the dr. Rear leaf spring shackle.

 

so i got looking and found the biggest rats nest of wires and duct tape. so after taking all the tape off about 70 feet worth there was all kinds of stuff jumped and spliced like my worse nightmare so now im looking for new harness or a wire diagram i just need to know what color wire runs the running lights in the rear. anyone have a idea where i can find a harness that hooks up above the spare in that plug and controls tails and trailer lights as well

 

Well ended up having to run new wire from front to rear talk about a pain in the butt o well got lights now
