Default switchback help

any who my sister bought me switchbacks (wanted them was just waiting til after the holidays) well i installed them and the white stays on so im assuming that the 12vdc leg for the parking lights is just toggled not switched in a spdt relay. is there a way to fix this or are there different bulbs that have diodes in them to instantly kill the 12vdc when the 12vdc for the turn signal is engaged? do i need to add my own relay? appreciate the help

I have switchbacks on my front and the white stays on while parking lights are on and switch to amber when the signal is activated, had to run resistors to keep the flashing from going too fast.

It would be better to get the electric flasher than use resistors. If you use the resistors then you are wasting the purpose of leds.

Could you please explain, how does the resistors stop the led from doing what it's suppose to do?

It restricts current so they burn properly, not defeating their purpose since they don't need as much power as regular bulbs, just helping them work better and increasing their life

soooo lol any way to get the white to turn off so they actually "switch" lol
i was thinking of running a spdt relay running the 12vdc of the turn signal switch to the coil running the parking light to the N.C. contact and on the N.O. a 12vdc jumper from the coil to the N.O. then to the amber +pole not a lot of work just a pita was hoping there was a quicker way? and yes im aware of hyper flashing and load resistors and 2000mtz is 100% correct resistors are made to restrict current (i use them everyday) you can have 12 volts and i believe 30 smd amber runs about 2 watts anything over that is just burning the LEDs to an early death

Resistors increase the load on the truck so the flasher thinks there is a normal bulb in there. They cause the led to use the same amount of power as a regular bulb. The purpose of leds is to use less power than a normal bulb.
