If you have manual 4x4 instead of the dial you can do this too

I've been thinking about putting toggle switches for things in my overhead console thing. Like in the compartment for a garage door opener. Idk how hard it would be to run the wires, but it would be clean.

I had mine mounted on the outside of my overhead console, just ran the wires up the pillar and across the headliner.

That's how I figured I'd do it. Whenever I get around to it, I'll probably mount all the switches I can fit & wire them all so I can just tap into it later.

I wired it up today, and it looks great! thank you wolf, also, does anyone know if there is a cover or something that goes over that storage place near the steering wheel, that would be a great spot for a few switches!

looks awesome! did you make a guide or anything about how to do it? I think all i would really have to know how to do is pull that piece off, can you tell me how to do that? is it just like the steering column piece with clips?

I did not. I just cut a piece of metal out and bent it to fit. There are two bolts under that steering column piece, two by the fuse box that hold the metal support on, and one on the top left and bottom right you need to take out to pull that piece out.
