Default Swapping doors.

So I bought an 02 f150 from a construction company pretty cheap. It has manual locks and crank windows, as well as that ugly hunter green color.

My question is, since I plan on painting it a different color anyway. If I were to buy some doors from a junkyard that had electric door locks and windows, does the wiring exist in the dashboard of my truck to hook those up? Or am I just stuck with the manual cranks and locks?

So, not one person knows enough about the electical on these trucks to know if the wiring for power door locks is under the dash even in trucks that don't have these features?

I don't know the full answer, but I know you'll have to run wiring at least into the doors and you'll need a new GEM module. I'm sure the wires are there in the harness somewhere, but not sure where.

New GEM for sure...I did the opposite last summer, bought a door with manual everything and changed its guts with power all...that worked out flawlessly since my truck is power everything already. Not sure about the other way around. The harness might not exist preinstalled in a basic truck.

But...everything is possible with enough patience and time applied.

The 3 connectors should be in the kick panel already. You will need a new gem module/ or have the existing gem module reprogrammed.
