Just need all the linkage(obvious) etc. The computers are the same so I'm told. May I ask why you want to do this?

You will need the pedals and the clutch hydraulic system (master cylinder with reservoir, tube and slave cylinder). You will need the 8th digit of your VIN to know which flywheel to purchase. W = 6 bolt flywheel and 6 = 8 bolt flywheel. Make sure your flywheel comes with the studs for mounting the clutch. Get a clutch for your model year. You will need a PCM from a manual truck or a tune to disable the transmission function of the PCM. There should be a rubber plug to the right of the Brake Master Cylinder. This hole is where the Clutch master cylinder attaches to the firewall. You will need to cut a hole in the transmission tunnel for the shift lever. When you purchase the the transmission make sure of the model year of the transmission. In 1999 Ford moved the shift lever back 55mm. This will dictate where you cut the hole. I didn't look but I am assuming you have a 4.6 V8. If you have the 5.4 you will need an 8 bolt flywheel from a 4.6 engine. If you have a 4.2 V6 simply get a 4.2 flywheel. lastly remove the drive shaft and measure from the tip of the output on the t-case to the Pinion Flange on the differential. When you have the manual tranny installed measure again. If the measurement changed have your drive shaft shortened or lengthened or find a drive shaft for the new application.

NOTE: More details about your truck ( engine tranny etc. )in the Garage makes answers much easier.

well you have to either have the PCM tuned for a manual or get a manual PCM

U also can get a shift kit and make ur auto trans last longer and not have to deal with a clutch and make it a manual with a auto trans ...As in u put the shift kit in 60-120$ and if u feel like it one day shift 1 to 2nd to drive and then to overdrive
