Swap door locks?
After 21 years, the drivers side door lock is finicky; sometimes it works, sometimes I jiggle the key for a while, sometimes I have to open the passenger side and crawl/reach across. Lubricating with graphite/lock lube works for a very short time. I know I would have to take the interior door panels off, but can I swap the locks from side to side? I know I can buy a replacement, but then my key wouldn't work.
this COULD be limited by a spacer in the lock housing itself. Could be removed. If you’ve ever replaced a toolbox key or a desk key then you’ve probably seen where these can be swapped between a 180° and a 90°. This is speculation so do it at your own risk.
You can get a new lock cylinder that is easy to key to your key.
