Default Superfinish or polish?

I'm getting ready to order a set of eagle alloy 186. It's similar to a mickey Thompson classic. It comes in two finishes, polished and super finish. I'm not sure which one I want. I can't tell much of a difference except one is lighter colored. What's the big difference and which one do you guys like better?

Polished wheels take some work to keep clean because they are uncoated. You have to keep them clean too or they will corrode. Not sure about super finish - I'm assuming it's MT's way of saying they are clear coated. Perhaps call them and ask.

im guessing polished is like chrome? And super finish might have a coating on it like you said

I was always under the assumption that super finish is clear coated and the other is unsealed-full polish, but according to the Eagle Alloys website, 'super finish' wheels do not have any clear coat on them.

Here is what they say on the website

"Superfinish: produced by machining a wheel on a specialized lathe using a natural diamond with very slow feed rates, producing a polished like luster, not clear coated unless indicated."

"Polished finish: machine polished to a bright luster, not clear coated unless indicated."

Superfinish is the way I would go.

Finish aside i've always liked the MT's better. The backspacing is perfect and the wheel looks nicer than the eagle's.

I can't speak on the finish of the eagles, but the MT's will loose their shininess, especially where lots of road salt is present. But they can be easily cleaned and brought back to life with the right compound.

Ya from all the research I've been doing it seems the superfinish is the one to go with
