My friend has a Ford F150 harley davidson edition and i have a ford f-150 XL. To my knowledge they both have the same 5.4L V8, since they are both 2002's. He is looking to get a new supercharger and letting me get his one off of his HD edition. my question to you F150 gurus is this. Can i put that supercharger strait on, or do i have to do modifications to the motor and transmission? And what's the difference in the engine, if any.

It's not a straight swap, you will need to upgrade a few different engine componets.

 

^x2. ud need a new upper intake, lower intake, a good tune, and even when you get it all on there you could only run 8psi, any higher and it will blow up. you could get some forged internals and be able to run like 10-12psi but then your tranny will be the weak point....

you friend can swap just the blowers and the injectors then tune and hes good..

 

could i get a tranny out of another Harley davidson edition. i only paid $1000 for the truck so if i put another 5 grand into it, i still think i have a good deal
