I have a 99 f150 I just mounted a class 3 hitch on the truck but were my receiver slides in its bubbly and rusty
The receiver only goes a couple inches in
Any ways to clean the rust out so I can use the receiver [_] <---- this part has rust in it

 

Wire brush on a drill/dremell? Maybe a 12ga brass bore brush? Once it is clean enough to slide freely, coat the inside with rustoleum(?) or grease to keep it clean.

 

a small steel brush should do the trick
