x2 downfire sounds much better, cleaner imo, my buddys got his 2 12s upfiring in his silverado and it vibrates the metal brackets on the bottom of the seat. darn chevys

Here's mine. I just removed the smaller portion of the back seat. And since its in a well designed ported box my single 8 pounds hard as a 12 with way less space.

I use Sundown audio. It's top notch stuff and doesn't break the bank. IMO you could not pay me to run boss equipment.

Not a very good pic. This is a box from supercrewsound.com I think. Its expensive, yes, but I found mine on craigslist for 100. Its downfiring and no seat adjustment it needed. Fits 2 10" subs. Pics dont show but it sits flush with the seat

custom fits 2 kenwood 12's powered by a monoblock 1000.1 re audio amp

I'm gonna get some kickers soon nothing wrong with the Kenwoods I just like kicker and Boston acoustic better

Are you getting shallows? My current 12" kicker wont fit w/o minimun 1.75" seat lift

So I think I might just keep that sub, but if I make it down firing will 1/4 be enough between the sub face and the floor? I also figured out that the sub is exactly 6 1/4" and my seat it 7 1/2"

You will need more than .25 for clearance. And those seats give some with a load. I would make a baffle and countersink the sub into it
