I think your gonna have to raise the seat for that. Or just have it on the drivers side with the seat flipped up.

Could I possibly have the face of the sub turned sideways? As in facing towards the front of the truck?

Yea but you'll still have to lift the seat. I think a down firing box would sound best for you. Mines an up firing but it bounces off the seats since they stay down.

This might be a dumb question, but what the difference in down firing and up firing? I know one is facing down and one is up, but I don't see why it would make a difference in how it fits and sounds

No matter what you're going to have to lift your seat unless you get a sub with less than 5 1/4" mounting depth.

Well I stopped at a local stereo shop today and I might just buy new subs and use a box they have there. It seems like a better idea

Boss subs are top 5 some of the crappiest subs you can buy, if you want cheap but still have quality throw in a kicker, pioneer, or a alpine. Their lower wattage subs are cheap but still quality pieces.

With upfire the sound will be absorbed a little more by the cushion of the seat of will have a little bit less bass. The downfire will hit the small amount of carpet but then the metal your cab is made of, amplifying it a little better
