Stupid electronic 4WD switch

Default Stupid electronic 4WD switch

anyone notice its right next to the heat level switch and theyre shaped exactly the same. well last night when i was on my way to my buddys fire i went to turn the heat up but accidently turned thhe 4wd switch and my drive shaft is snapped in half right now so when i turned the switch the drivshaft hit my shift linkage and dented my brand new tranny pan. FML

If anyone could help it would be appreciated. My gear indicator in the dash is off like when it says second im actually in drive. and my break light turned on in the dash. also i have to start it through the solenoid because the computer isnt recognizing that it is in park

You can adjust that. There is a cable under the cluster.

My gf did the same thing to mine one night leaving the hospital after a LOOONG day. I didnt have any breakage though, guess I'm lucky...

i can adjust it under the cluster? i've read some other threads about that but it didnt happen till i got the the 2 peices of my drive shaft started smackin around and i paniced and tried to put it into neutral but when into reverse

Mine was the same way. after looking for what was wrong. i found a little plastic clip under the dash. On the cable runnin to the cluster. fixed it with a zip tie.

wow i always thought those things had a saftey too em just incase that did happen. well glad im still with my old style manule pull lever.

ok so i discovered the peice that holds the cable into the linkage got wacked and i put it back into place and the neutral saftey switch got fed so i need a new one
