What motor? Not trying to be "that guy" but there are many threads around here on straight pipes! Its been done before is what I'm trying to say! Do a search and try that first! running a straight pipe would be as easy as chopping off the old muffler and having a shop just weld in a piece of pipe. Or are you wanting duals? in the meantime post some pics of the truck!!

straight pipes aren't too loud if you leave all 4 cats, but it does have a nice aggresive sound when you get on it, i compared my SIDO flow 40 to a friend with the same trucks straight piped and they are identical, now if you toss the rear 2 cats it will get pretty loud..

I've got dual 3" straight pipes with all my cats an it's loud when u really get on it, especially when it's cold, cackles alot when cold. But cruising the highway there isn't much drone. I've got the 5.4 also.

I've got true dual straights with all 4 cats on my 4.6 and its as loud as i'd ever wanna go without being the jack***** that cruises around pissing everyone off. But to use our favorite line, "I got a buddy that had" straights and no rear cats and it was one of the best sounding trucks i've ever heard. His wasn't true duals though, no clue on what difference there'd be. But its a pretty economical way to go. I got mine custom bent and put on for $100. I already had the tips though. Most full dual exhaust systems with a muffler will run atleast over $200 once you include everything

my SIDO flowmaster 40 was 350 with my friend price (more like frequent spender discount) that was everything from the muffler back with tips. and 60 or 70 of that was the flowmaster. that was a good price compared to the rest of the shops around here.

Nice looking truck bud! I can't shed a ton of light in the 5.4 considering I only have a v6 but to jump back into it a buddy of mine also had the 5.4 with a flowmaster and a dump pipe right off the muffler and it sounded real nice just a suggestion if you're not hell bent on straights
