Default Straight pipe cat

i wanted my truck to sound like it was straight piped but i didnt want to actually do or buy a new exhaust... some friends told me about straight piping a cat. what they did was take the cat off the truck grabb a long peice of rebar and slam it down through the center of the cat a couple times and its sounds pretty good... what i was wondering if it would pass inspection like this?

aslong as the cats a pressent and no emission codes appear you should be good to go but i think thats alot of work and kind of hacky to make your truck sound cool but hey im not bashing your idea just my opinion!!

you could just cut a hole in the top of the cat. gut out the insides and weld the top back on....dk if that would throw a light but that's how you do it on older cars that require cats as a visual inspection
