Default Stonger intake

Hey guys my intake cracked and started leaking radiator fluid everywhere, an this is the 2nd time this has happened in the past 5 years. It seems like there are only plastic intakes out there so does anybody know where I could find a intake made out of a stronger material like aluminum maybe? Thanks for any help!

My 99 Expedition 5.4 has an aluminum intake, I think Ford switched to plastic in 2000 or 2001. I think it should be a direct swap, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, it is. That would be the choice I'd make if it happened to me.

That's good know, great info actually. Other than that for the 5four, -

97/98 non PI is aluminum.
99 PI is the only PI metal intake. But they are compatible for 99-04 2 valve engines. Some F150 engines were 2V in 04.

good info in here. I wonder if the air inlet passages flow better in the aluminum manifold. I'm sure they could be ported alot easier... Just tossing around some ideas

The only 2v in 04 are the 4..6 and they have plastic intakes. Also the last year for aluminum intakes is 99.
