Default Stick shift **** change

Anybody out there with a stick ever changed their **** for a cooler one???? If so how did ya get the original off????

My uncles a hot rod guy and he put a piston on his 1956 F100 for the shifter

Im unsure of the 150s, but the rangers are pressed on. you need to heat up the shift **** with a heat gun then pull as hard as you can ha ha. wear a mouth guard because that sucker pops off quick. if its not pressed then there is either a set screw or it threads on.

if you heat it up there is a good chance you could disfigure it so dont mess up ha ha.

its pressed on. i pulled mine off and swapped it with one i made.

Either they just pressed or screwed on usually.

So ok it's pressed on.....would explain why I couldn't budge it, so you heated it???? Till it came off like fx-all-4-me did?? And then what gleud your new one??

i just broke mine off out of frustration but the shifter i bought had 3 screws to hold it in place

I had a T handle that I wanted to install but it has treaded inserts inside the handle!!
