Default Step side canopy

I found a free canopy, but it goes to a step side. I am just going to use it as kinda a storage shed, so I want to pick it up, but I don't know how I'd put it on my truck. Anyone have any ideas?

It wouldnt fit your truck anyways you put it, our flareside beds arent as wide as a styleside bed, so it wouldnt sit on the bed rails very well and you will have some massive gaps

I just need to get it home. I would be putting it in the yard and making some walls out of marine plywood, and 2x6's. This is pretty much going to be a makeshift shed, I just need to get it to go 30 miles down the road 1 way.

How about you try it then report back? You saying "canopy" doesn't show us what type it is. Some are tall, some are not.

Or ask the seller for the dimensions.
Or find a trailer.
Or just wing it since it's free and in the worst case is you lose gas money.

Bring a couple ratchet straps.

Clamp three 2x4's flat across your bed rails. Then clamp the cap onto the 2x4's. Or bolt them on if you don't want to own 12 clamps - you're going to bolt it onto your wood frame for the shed anyways, right?

I bought a used cap off a guy who did the opposite - had a standard 8' cap on some narrow old Jeep truck. He used 2x10's parallel with the bed sides. I would not have trusted it but it held up enough to get him from one state to another, then he sold the cap. He was nice, I got the 2x10's for free.

or you could get a couple of 2x4s lay them across your bed rails and put the canopy on top of them then tie them down
