Default Start / will not turn over Please Help

I have a 2000 F150 4.6 98,000 miles that has recently experienced a starting problem. Had it towed to dealer and they replaced plugs, fuel injection service and replaced the cam shaft sensor. Started fine for three weeks, but this morning had the same problem as it will start but will fail to turnover. Dealer states it could possibly need the Fuel Pump replaced, I am attempting to get to the connection to the fuel pump but it is difficult to reach. I was wanting to check the connection for debris / corrosion. The dealer wants $800 to drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump, Any Ideas?

Do you have an in-line fuel filter? Sometimes they are located under the truck about the size of a soup can about midway down the truck. Fuel pumps are expensive. I wouldn't take it to a dealer. There's got to be a dependable mechanic that is less expensive. The job isnt hard, just time consuming.
