Default Stalled/no start

2001 F-150 4.6L -DAY OF PURCHASE- FILLED TANK ADDED FUEL TREATMENT AND DROVE MOST OF DAY...SUDDENLY JUST STALLED...WON'T START AGAIN. CRANKS GREAT...STARTS WITH STARTER FLUID BUT STALLS AGAIN. SLIGHT FUEL PRESSURE AT RAIL...CHANGED FILTER...SAME THING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON DURING CRANKING BUT NO LIGHT AFTER STARTED. NO CODES SHOULD I ASSUME NOW IT'S THE FUEL PUMP OR DO I NEED TO CHECK ANYTHING ELSE PRIOR TO STARTING THIS TEAR DOWN TO GET TO PUMP. (thanks for making the pump so involved to change out ford...) Grrrrr....

Fuel pump is easy to change... unless you have a supercrew.

If you're not getting fuel up to the engine then it's time to swap the fuel pump out.

Hey Timpow, this is your third thread on this same subject in 3 days time. Please keep it all in one thread so others can use it to research the same issue in the future.

I agree with 2100 - time to change the pump. If you have very little pressure, then it's either the pump or the sock on the pump.... which at that point, you better do the pump at the same time because it's about the same amount of labor.

For others researching this topic, the other threads can be found here:
